In their German Bundesliga 2 match on Friday night at the RheinEnergieSTADION, Hamburger SV defeated FC Kïln 2-1, with Ghanaian winger Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer emerging as the game’s best player.

After he contributed significantly to Hamburger SV’s victory by scoring both goals, he played the entire ninety minutes.

In the fifth minute, he opened the score with a close-range right-footed shot that reached the bottom right corner. In the 35th minute, he increased the advantage with another deft finish with his right foot from the right side of the six-yard box.

In the 78th minute, FC Kïln equalized through a header from Linton Maina, who finished after a cross from Dejan Ljubicic. Hamburger SV managed to hold on for the victory, however it was insufficient to reverse the deficit. With the win, Hamburger SV’s record against FC Kïln now stands at 9 victories, 7 losses, and 4 draws. On August 10th, Hamburger SV will play their next league matchup against Hertha BSC.
