Footage has emerged showing Manchester United fans fighting in the stands during the club’s pre-season friendly win against Arsenal.
Manchester Uniteddefeated their Premier League opponents 2-0, with two goals from Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho.
The result was followed by a penalty shootout, which the Red Devils also won 5-3, giving Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta food for thought.
The game was played in front of an 82,500-person maximum crowd at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.
However, there was further fighting in the crowd when tempers erupted on the pitch between Lisandro Martinez and Martin Odegaard.
Shocking footage has caught fans, who appear to be wearing Arsenal shirts, throwing huge punches and even one fan trying to take another’s shoe off.
It left several people bleeding and others on the stadium steps, while others interfered and hurled more blows.
Staff removed individuals guilty away from their seats and, presumably, off the ground as the wrath subsided.
This all happened as the game was still being played live on a screen in the video.
The cause of the incident is unknown, however it appears to have included a group of Arsenal fans.
