Nurudeen Amadu, the head coach of FC Samartex, has declared that after winning the Ghana Premier League for the first time, his team will want to repeat the feats of Dreams FC and Medeama SC when they play in the CAF Champions League the following season.

Samartex won Matchday 32 at the Nsenkyire Sports Complex on Sunday, 1-0 over Bibiani Gold Stars, to clinch the title with just two games remaining in the 2023–24 campaign.

Anticipating to play in the CAF Champions League the following season, Amadu highlighted his goal of following Medeama SC and Dreams FC’s footsteps in CAF inter-club competitions.

“We’ll attempt to emulate Medeama and Dreams FC in Africa and see if we can accomplish their feats. If we don’t succeed, that’s okay, but I believe their actions should serve as inspiration for us to compete in Africa,” he told Akoma FM in an interview. In the remaining fixtures, FC Samartex will visit Karela United at the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex before concluding the season at home against Accra Lions.
