For Ghana's forthcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz has submitted his squad; the final roster is anticipated to be revealed this week.
The team is still undergoing the association's approval procedure before invites are delivered to the chosen players, according to Henry Asante Twum, director of communications for the Ghana Football Association.
The four-time African champions welcome The Gambia at the Accra Sports Stadium five days after starting their qualification campaign with a challenging road game against Ivory Coast in Bouaké on September 24.
"Coach Carlos Queiroz has submitted his squad for the upcoming games, and it is currently going through the required processes," Asante Twum said in an interview last week. "It will first go before the Management Committee and then the Executive Council," Twum explained.
The squad must first be approved by the GFA's Management Committee before receiving final clearance from the Executive Council. The chosen players will receive invitations after all the required procedures are finished.
"Hopefully, the squad will be officially announced next week."
Following Ghana's failure to qualify for the previous Africa Cup of Nations, the two qualifiers will be among Queiroz's first competitive tasks.
