Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz says 22 players are available for Tuesday's crucial 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against The Gambia, with only Ronald Donkor remaining an injury doubt.

The Black Stars head into the Group C clash at the Accra Sports Stadium looking to recover from their 2-0 defeat to Ivory Coast in their opening qualifier in Bouake last Thursday. Kick-off is at 16:00 GMT.

Speaking after Monday's training session, the 74-year-old Portuguese coach said his squad is largely in good shape ahead of the must-win encounter.

"We just finished the training session. I can announce that we have 22 players ready to play tomorrow," Queiroz told reporters.

The only uncertainty surrounds midfielder Ronald Donkor, who has been managed carefully after taking part in a light training session.

Queiroz said the debutant will be assessed before kick-off and could still be available as a substitute.

"The only player still in doubt is Ronald Donkor. He had a light training session today, and hopefully he'll be on the bench for tomorrow's game," he said.

"Otherwise, the others trained normally and are in great condition and shape. We are ready for the game tomorrow."

Ghana will, however, be without defender Alexander Djiku, who has been ruled out after limping off during the defeat to Ivory Coast.

The Black Stars go into the match bottom of Group C and are chasing their first points of the qualifying campaign as they bid to return to the AFCON after missing out on the last edition in Morocco.
