Charles Ogunmilade, a 28-year-old recruitment consultant and Arsenal fan, was fined £260 for making a hateful racist comment about Thomas Partey, a midfielder for the Gunners.

A 3-3 tie between Arsenal and Southampton on April 21, 2023, resulted in the unsettling occurrence. Ogunmilade referred to Thomas Partey as a “dirty black c–t” on social media following the Ghanaian international’s shot that went over the crossbar.

Many people were outraged by Ogunmilade’s bigoted post and demanded that he be held responsible for his conduct. When the matter went to trial, Ogunmilade maintained that, in spite of his heinous actions, he is not a racist.

Since then, the court has fined Ogunmilade £260 for his infraction; many believe this is an excessively light punishment given the seriousness of his acts.

More good news: Arsenal crushed Nottingham Forest 3-0 over the weekend, and Partey was on the scoresheet.

The Gunners are hope Partey stays healthy and contributes to his team’s success this season.

Since joining Arsenal in 2020, Partey, 31, has been a vital member of the team.

Arsenal will be looking to build on their recent win over Nottingham Forest as they aim to climb up the Premier League table.

With Partey in top form, the Gunners will be hoping to finish on a high this season.
