Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Mensah completes move to Al Riyadh SC

Ahead of the next Saudi Pro League season, Bernard Mensah, an attacking midfielder from Ghana, has joined Al Riyadh SC.

After leaving the demoted Al Tai team at the end of the season, the 29-year-old signed a contract to join the capital-based team.

Mensah, who scored 14 goals and provided two assists in 30 games, was among the finest players in the Saudi Pro League and had a great first season.

“Hello I am Bernard Mensah, I am really happy to be here and a new challenge with Al Riyadh Club. We hoping for a better season this year. Keep supporting us,” he said after sealing the deal.

The former Ghanaian international, who played for Kayserispor, Besiktas, and Kasimpasa in the Turkish Super Liga, was among the top players to come from Europe to the Saudi Pro League last summer.

The former midfielder for Atletico Madrid is anticipated to be a major contributor at Al Riyadh following an exceptional debut season in Saudi Arabia.
