Stamp your authority on your Black Stars team – Laryea Kingston to Otto Addo

Laryea Kingston, a former Ghana international, has chastised Black Stars head coach Itto Addo for not putting his stamp on his squad.

Otto Addo has been able to bring the Ghana national team’s dreams for the 2026 FIFA World Cup back to life since being reappointed as head coach.

Laryea Kingston said in an interview with GTV Sports Plus that Ghanaians ought to be happy about their recent victories over Mali and the Central African Republic.

“We should not be excited about the two wins but Otto Addo must plan for the rest of the games,” he said.
In his interview, Laryea Kingston praised Coach Otto Addo but urged him to stamp his authority on the team.
“I think he has clearly shown what he wants to do but he should send the message to the players that this is how we must approach the game and we must deliver. These players cannot be taught how to play football but Otto Addo must stamp his authority on the team,” Laryea Kingston said.

Following their matches against Mali and the Central African Republic, the Black Stars will have no more FIFA World Cup qualifying matches until March 2025.
