After a challenging start to the new La Liga season, Athletic Bilbao won for the second time in a row. As Athletic Bilbao easily defeated their opponent at home, Inaki Williams started and played for 66 minutes in the very heated match, while his younger brother Nico Williams played for 76 minutes.
In the fourth-week match at San Mames Stadium, both teams struggled to make the breakthrough, and the first half finished in a thrilling goalless tie.

However, Athletic Bilbao returned from the break with greater intensity and immediately took control of proceedings. The breakthrough arrived just a minute after the restart when Spain international Nico Williams, who is of Ghanaian descent headed home the opening goal in the 46th minute.
Athletic doubled their advantage two minutes later after Inaki Williams assisted Robert Navarro to extend the lead for the host.
