Following earlier declarations by Board Chairman Togbe Afede, Hearts of Oak’s PRO Addo has affirmed the club’s intentions to construct a 25,000-seat sports facility.
The management of Hearts of Oak has been working hard to find appropriate land for this large-scale undertaking.
“The club is set to construct a mini stadium in Pobiman to cater to all our friendly matches,” added Addo.
He continued, “Moreover, we are committed to erecting a standard stadium for our league fixtures, thereby enabling us to vacate the Accra Sports Stadium for the National Sports Authority (NSA).”
The first stage of the idea is to build a small stadium in Pobiman that will be used just for friendly games. The team then intends to build a large stadium to accommodate league games.
With the help of this project, Hearts of Oak will always be able to play on their home field without having to worry about having to move games to other locations because the Accra Sports Stadium isn’t available.
The Pobiman training facilities that Hearts of Oak has already finished developing have been crucial in getting the club ready for matches in the Ghana Premier League.
The forthcoming stadiums are expected to significantly enhance the club’s infrastructure and boost its performance in both domestic and international competitions
