Kevin-Prince Boateng, a former Barcelona and AC Milan player, has talked about how his agent damaged his career when he was younger before he achieved more tremendous success.
After a distinguished career that included stints with Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, and other teams, Boateng announced his retirement in August 2023 at the age of 35.
Before rising to the top, the German-Ghanaian had faced numerous challenges regarding transfers due to a money-minded football agent.

To bring his expertise, Boateng has established a football agency, ‘Rookie and Champ’ to guide young players to make the best of decisions.
“It’s a big, big ball, and not everything is positive. You have some agents, like, I can remember I signed for a new club, and, ten days later, the coach told me you didn’t want me. And he just told me, I never wanted you. It was the sport director who wanted you, so you tried to call your agent. And I tried to call my agent back then, and, the phone was off” he told TransferRoom Summit.
“There was a moment where I signed for Tottenham Hotspur, and I tried to call my agent. I’ve never spoken to him ever again, and that happened in two thousand seven. So can you imagine?
“It’s two thousand twenty five. I’ve never spoken to him ever again. So it’s like the quick money, quick bug, and then they’re gone. And there’s some of these people out there, and that’s why I said I want to bring into my experience of always wanting to be there for my boys” he said.
