The president of KF Egnatia Rrogozhinë, Agim Demrozi, has declared that Raphael Dwamena will be the namesake of their stadium, which is now under construction.
In December 2022, the former Ghana international signed a one-and-a-half-year contract with the Albanian team as a free agent, which was then extended to two years.
But in November, the gifted attacker passed away after collapsing on the field during a league match for the Albanian team.
In the twenty-third minute of his team’s league encounter against Partizani, the 28-year-old passed out. He was brought to the hospital right away.
However, Dwamena passed away before reaching the hospital, which is what caused the regrettable event.
Agim Demrozi also claims that the team would honor Dwamena by naming their stadium, which is still under construction, after the striker.
