My dad has done a lot for the family - Jordan Ayew

Jordan Ayew, a Ghanaian international, has conveyed his appreciation for the important contribution his father, Abedi Pele, has made to his and his brothers’ careers.

As the son of a renowned player, Ayew understands the enormous expectations that accompany his more than 300 Premier League games.

“It’s not easy to come after your father in a sense of the expectations being so high back home and even in Europe,” Ayew said.

He does, however, think that he and his brother Andre have handled the pressure well and have kept their attention on their individual paths.

Additionally, Ayew acknowledged his parents’ assistance, stating, “My Dad has done a lot, for not only me, but my whole family.” “There’s still more to come from us, and hopefully we can give them more moments to enjoy,” he continued, expressing his desire to keep making them proud.

As the captain of the Black Stars, Ayew follows in the footsteps of his father, Abedi Pele, one of Africa’s greatest footballers.

He and his brothers, Ibrahim and Andre, have all pursued careers in football, with Jordan and Andre having played for Olympique Marseille.
