The Rwandan team is anticipated to sign a two-year contract with the central midfielder. After a fruitful three years at Kotoko, where he made 17 league appearances and contributed five assists in the recently concluded campaign, underscoring his vital role for the Porcupine Warriors, Lamptey has decided to join APR.

The 27-year-old played a crucial role in Kotoko’s 2021 Ghana Premier League title victory despite suffering from ailments.

Lamptey, who graduated from the West African Football Academy (WAFA), also played for Ghana internationally, making the final roster of the Black Stars for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.
