Thomas Partey’s strong goal-scoring in World Cup qualifiers will benefit Ghana in June.

Thomas Partey

Thomas Partey, an Arsenal midfielder, has returned to the Black Stars, which has greatly benefited his country’s preparation for the June 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches.

The Ghanaian Black Stars will face Mali and the Central African Republic in two crucial FIFA World Cup qualifying matches early next month.

Ghana is now fourth in the Group I standings and needs points to go back on track in the qualification process after one win and one loss in the first two games.

Fortunately, Thomas Partey, one of the big guns who have been missing in action for the Black Stars has made a return to the national team.

The midfielder boasts of seven goals in eight FIFA World Cup qualification matches.

His last was an away goal against Nigeria that qualified the Black Stars for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

His impressive record should inspire the Black Stars to believe that winning the next two games in the qualifiers is a possibility.

The team will hope Thomas Partey’s impressive record will be extended in the games against Mali and Central African Republic.

Ghana’s matches against Mali and the Central African Republic will be played on June 6 and June 10 respectively.
