US to face Black Stars of Ghana in October

According to a recent statement, the United States Men’s National Team (USMNT) will host two eagerly awaited friendlies in October against Ghana and Germany.

The USMNT’s match against Germany will take place on October 14 at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Connecticut. At Geodis Park in Nashville, Tennessee, they will play Ghana three days later, on October 17.

As they get ready for their quarterfinal Concacaf Nations League games the following month, these games will give the USMNT vital chances to test themselves against strong international competition.

There have been notable meetings between Ghana and the USMNT in the past, particularly at the 2010 and 2014 World Cups. The USMNT prevailed 2-1 in a friendly match between the two teams in 2017, which was their most recent encounter.

Ghana is a well-known African squad and is currently rated 47th in the FIFA World Rankings, which presents a significant challenge. At Geodis Park, which has a capacity of 27,500, the game versus Ghana will be played. Interestingly, this will be the USMNT’s first match at Geodis Park.

The USMNT must win these friendlies against Germany and Ghana in order to show their mettle against elite international teams and be ready for upcoming events.

Additionally, these games provide supporters with a thrilling chance to support their club and watch the USMNT in action.

Separately, later this month, Ghana will play Madagascar in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifications.
